CREATING THE PORTFOLIO

Before I made my final decision about primary, secondary and tertiary image portals, I wanted to try something I suspected would only be possible with InDesign.
I reasoned that there had to be a way to set a profile for a few different text styles you wanted to keep the same throughout an entire document. I tried a few different approaches unsuccessfully before I finally found the 'paragraph styles' function.
paragraph styles

This enabled me to set 4 different text profiles that included character spacing, font, color, ect and easily convert text with just one click instead of adjusting each piece of text individually to match on another.
Adjusting Text through the entire doc with one click

This also allows me to change the 'paragraph style' if I decied something isn't right, and therefore all of the text throughout to document linked to that 'paragraph style is adjusted too.
keeping a consistant layout

At first I tried designing each page around the subject that would be on it. I soon found how exhausting this was, and how little cohesion appeared when you looked at the pages one after another like a book. From there, I developed a strict layout that would only be broken in very special cases.
packaging for later adjustment

Since I didn't get as far as I hoped to with this project, I took the knowledge about how to package all of the links together from my instructors videos to continue working on the project at a later date.
