Creating a Webpage

Explain how you approached the problem stylistically and hierarchically.
Stylistically, I designed this website to be minimalistic while helping to guide guests simply and strategically to the content they seek.
By approaching this website as a way of showcasing my design work alongside my interests and activities, I needed to establish a structural hierarchy that would lend itself well to organizing professional and personal aspects side by side.
How were other resources engaged to develop the most successful graphic design? What were the resources and how did you use them?

I looked at other peers websites to evaluate what site structures I found easy to navigate, and to anticipate what kinds of simple website planning flaws made for an undesirable experience.
Describe the challenges you faced in getting your website up and running?
My main challenge came when I realizing that choosing a blank template for a website was going to be a huge time commitment I realize now that I put myself through much more trouble than necessary to get this site up and running, but I can confidently say that what I've learned by starting from scratch will help me seamlessly add content to this site in the future.
Describe the challenges that this project presented, specifically with regard to using your blogging site. How did you overcome them?

Challenging myself to come up with a logical organizational strategy for the multiple channels of content I wanted to maintain led to some difficulty in establishing hierarch within the website. I overcame this by organizing a stationary tool bar in the header and placing the journal portion of the class as the home page.
