Door to Door

After listening to many of my classmates express their distaste for the Revit software, I decided to begin this project by simply playing around and exploring with no objective in mind.

This resulted in very interesting project development but really helped me understand what the software was intended for. I learned a lot, but mostly was left with many questions like “why can’t I move this one floor up?” or “why didn’t this reference plain constraint work?”
And because I was curious, so I played around some more to figure things out.

After said exploration, I finally watched the tutorial videos and began working on the actual assignment. I took my chances trying irregular forms for the door. This was very frustrating and I ultimately adjusted my design intent for the software’s capabilities.

I completed the video tutorial requirements and played with the door in my model, adjusting door thickness, width, and other properties.
